“Our hearts are broken following this tragic news,” the Dallas Cowboys statement said. “Marion was an old-school running back who ran head first and showed every play a will to win.”

Barber played for the five-time Super Bowl champion from Texas from 2005 to 2010, ending his career in 2011 with the Chicago Bears. In his six-year professional career, the 1.80 meter tall model athlete achieved 53 touchdowns.
