George Clooney settles in the south of France

Amal and George Clooney / Tired of rain: they move to the south of France

George Clooney has been in seventh love heaven with his wife Amal for over ten years. Now the couple is said to have decided to move to the south of France.

Whether in Los Angeles, England or Italy: George (62) and Amal Clooney (46) own several magnificent villas around the world. Last year, however, rumors suddenly emerged that the Hollywood star was planning to sell his famous villa on Lake Como and put it on the market for a whopping 100 million euros. Only a short time after the “New York Post” report, the Hollywood star provided clarity and denied any sales plans.

Another place that holds a special place in George and Amal Clooney’s hearts: the Domaine du Canadel estate in French Provence, which the couple is said to have bought almost three years ago. This is where they will spend most of their everyday lives in the future, while they have decided to part with their property in Berkshire, England.

George & Amal Clooney: They’re fed up with their British villa

As neighbors of the Clooneys revealed to the British Daily Mail, George and Amal are said to have left their almost 18 million euro property months ago and fled to the south of France. The reason? The actor’s home was hit by torrential rain in the UK. The Clooneys’ garden alone is said to have flooded twice in the last 13 months due to British rainy weather. So it’s no wonder that George, Amal and their twins Ella and Alexander (both 6) fled in search of better weather.

George & Amal Clooney: They are said to have moved to France

Neighbor Helen Moore told the Daily Mail: “You would usually see George and Amal with the children in our village, but we haven’t seen them for several months. You can’t really blame them because of the weather “It was terrible and the whole area, especially his house, was flooded several times. If I had a place in the south of France or elsewhere where it was a little drier, I would have gone there too.” What is certain is that the Clooney family no longer has to worry about torrential rain in the pretty French town of Birgnoles.
