Hindu statesman Rajan Zed participated and broke fast with turkish community in the Iftar dinner organized by Sierra Foundation in Reno (Nevada, USA) on 6th August .

Authentic Turkish food such as pastirma, dates, kashar cheese was served in this Iftar dinner held at Reno Anatolia Arts & Culture Center, which was attended by about 100 people.

Rajan Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, stresses that all religions should work together for a just and peaceful world. Dialogue would bring us mutual enrichment, he adds.

Hindus and Turks break fast together in USA

Iftar refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast after sunset during Ramadan, the blessed ninth month of the Islamic year, and is often organized as a community dinner.

“Harmony within Diversity” is the tagline of Sierra Foundation whose mission is “to promote understanding, friendship, tolerance”.

Islam and Hinduism are the second and third largest religions of the world respectively.
