Iraqi PM Received by Turkish President Gul

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was received by Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Thursday.

Maliki, who arrived in Turkey for a one-day visit, held talks with Gul in Istanbul.

The closed-door meeting lasted for about 1.5 hours.

Maliki then headed to the Turkish capital Ankara to meet Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
