Lille sign Trabzonspor midfielder Yazici

French football club Lille transferred Trabzonspor’s Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yazici on Tuesday.

Calling Yazici the “new reinforcement of Lille”, the club on its official website confirmed arrival of the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

The top-tier Ligue 1 club added that the Turkish player had signed a five-year contract, keeping himself at Stade Pierre Mauroy until 2024.

Lille also posted a video on Twitter to introduce Yazici to fans.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor said on its website that Lille will pay €16.5 million ($18.4 million) in transfer fee.

Lille has assured Trabzonspor that it will not loan or sell Yazici to another Turkish club, promising €20 million as compensation.

Yazici scored 22 goals and produced 21 assists in 100 appearances for Trabzonspor since December 2015.

In addition, he has bagged 14 international caps for Turkey’s national team.
