Public prosecutor issues arrest warrant against Mike Cees
In recent years he has repeatedly caused trouble in front of the TV camera. In real life, Mike Cees is now in trouble with the law.
Four years ago, Munich-born Mike Cees became known when he tried to seduce taken women on the TV show “Temptation Island”.
Shortly afterwards, he polarized people with his boastful behavior on the Swiss “Bachelorette”. But it was above all his treatment of his then wife Michelle Monballijn in the “Sommerhaus der Stars” that catapulted Cees into the sidelines with TV audiences in 2021.
Now the TV macho is in trouble with the law: He is wanted by an arrest warrant. The Frankfurt/Oder public prosecutor’s office issued this at the beginning of September, as “Bild” confirmed. “This concerns a fine from a fraud case from three years ago,” said senior public prosecutor Kai Münch. Cees was sentenced to a fine of 4,000 euros, “which he did not pay despite being summoned several times.” If he continues not to do so, he faces a prison sentence of 80 days.
“I’d rather go to prison”
The 37-year-old, however, does not want to give in. “I know about the arrest warrant, but I’m fighting the proceedings and the fine,” he told “Bild”. “My lawyer has appealed against the verdict because it is simply a scandal.” The TV star denies the accusation that he owes money to a former business partner. “I never worked with him and I will not pay anyone money who just wanted to screw me over. I’d rather go to prison for a few days,” Cees makes clear.
The impending prison sentence does not seem to weigh on him. On the contrary: At the weekend, the former “Summer House” participant was seen celebrating. It was his current girlfriend Delia Grösch’s birthday and she posed for numerous photos that she posted in her Instagram story, exuberantly with Cees at her side.
