The striker has now arrived at his new club and addressed the first words to the Spanish fans.
“I’m finally here. I’m happy about that,” says Robert Lewandowski in a video posted by FC Barcelona on Twitter. On the beach, the striker continued addressing the Spanish fans: “The last few days have been very long but in the end the transfer is through and I can focus on a new chapter in my life.”
Lewandowski is already wearing a blue FC Barcelona jersey and speaks these words into the club’s microphone. He also added: “I’m a guy who always wants to win. Not just games, but titles. That’s my next step.”
Lewandowski also says in the video that Barcelona are ‘back at the top’. Referring to his coach Xavi, he says: “I knew from the start that his ideas and his way of thinking were going in the right direction. I want to be a part of that.”
