Sarah Engels celebrates DSDS comeback

Sarah Engels’ career was launched more than ten years ago by “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. Today she is a sought-after star – and is now returning to her beginnings.

In 2011, Sarah Engels took second place in “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, right behind her former husband and father of her son Pietro Lombardi. Her participation in the talent show marked the start of a very successful career. Today, the 29-year-old is not only on the road as a singer, but also stands in front of the TV camera for different formats, is an influencer and entrepreneur.

And now Sarah Engels is going back to where it all started: to DSDS. As RTL announces, the musician will be seen in the second live show of the current season. She will take the place of guest judge where musician Thomas Anders helped judge the up-and-coming talent in the last episode.

Ex Pietro Lombardi was already a DSDS juror

Engels follows in the footsteps of Pietro Lombardi. The singer was not only a guest judge, but was firmly on the side of pop titan Dieter Bohlen for two seasons. But both TV stars are no longer involved in the production.

When she appears on TV, Engels can not only draw on her own wealth of experience, but can also get some advice from her ex. Because despite the separation, the two maintain a good relationship and take care of their child together.

While the 29-year-old is officially single, the artist has since started a new family. She is married to footballer Julian Engels – formerly Büscher – and gave birth to their daughter Solea Liana at the end of last year.
