Nicki Aycox passed away at the age of 47. The actress succumbed to her leukemia on November 16, 2022. This was confirmed by her sister-in-law Susan Raab Ceklosky with an emotional text on Facebook.

“My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented and loving sister-in-law Nicki Aycox passed away yesterday, with my brother Matt Raab by her side,” she wrote alongside several photos of the couple and their children. “Nicki and Matt had a wonderful life together in California. She was a fighter and everyone who knew her loved her,” added Raab Ceklosky. Her sister-in-law did not explain why Aycox died.

But Aycox regularly spoke publicly about her leukemia on her Instagram account “cashewsandolives” until March 2022. She introduced herself there as a former actress who fights leukemia, loves nature and eats vegan. Until last year, she had repeatedly shared vegan recipes there and on her blog of the same name.

Nicki Aycox started her acting career in 1996 and took on episode roles in series such as “Ally McBeal” or “The X Files”. Her most famous role was in “Supernatural”. In the first and fourth seasons, she faced the Winchester brothers as the demon Meg Masters.

Nicki Aycox has appeared in cinemas in “Jeepers Creepers 2”, in the second “X-Files” film or in “Christina”. In 2014 she ended her acting career. A year later she released the EP “Red Velvet Room” with her own songs.

‘Supernatural’ star Nicki Aycox dies aged 47

Mourning for the US series star Nicki Lynn Aycox. The actress died last week as a result of her leukemia disease. She was only 47 years old.

Aycox became known, among other things, for her role as Meg Masters in the hit series “Supernatural”. Producer Eric Kripke tweeted: “I am devastated by the passing of the amazing Nicki Aycox, our first ‘Meg Masters’. Too young. She was a delight and delivered lines like honey and poison. I marvel at how she turned a simple word like ‘lackluster’ into something legendary.”

Aycox’s sister-in-law, Susan Raab Ceklosky, made the popular actress’ death public in a touching Facebook post. She wrote: “My beautiful, smart, fierce, incredibly talented and lovely sister-in-law Nicki Aycox Raab passed away yesterday alongside my brother Matt Raab. She was definitely a fighter and everyone who knew her loved her.”

The actress made her leukemia disease public in March 2021. At first she had taken the first signs of corona symptoms. The devastating diagnosis followed. In the course of her chemotherapy, she promised her fans: “I will come back better, stronger and smarter!”

Aycox posted her last Instagram video in March of this year. Despite the exhausting chemotherapy, it should be a cheerful post: When trying to sing a hit by the 80s band Whitesnake, she laughed at herself: “Never try to sing 80s songs when you’re about to get a high dose of chemo have. This causes amnesia.”
