We have an early Christmas present for you; a a little look at the Doctor Who Christmas Special today 5.15 pm

This particular episode is set in Victorian England and features the Doctor in a top hat and Clara (the Doctor’s latest companion) in Christmassy-red Victorian clobber with droplet earrings and a rather elegant half-up half-down hairdo… we just notice these things, you know.

Doctor Who Christmas Special:S.A.D and sinister snowmen

At the beginning of the episode the Time Lord will be suffering from a pretty severe case of S.A.D and it’s going to take more than a few Christmas carols to get him out of the TARDIS. A young governess requests his help just as the fairytale Christmas Eve snow scene turns into a sinister nightmare which puts the future of the earth is at stake.

When the Dr finally surfaces, he is greeted not by season’s wishes but by several monsters including some rather aggressive snowmen with razor-sharp teeth and demonic eyes.

A ray of hope!

The Doctor has had just about enough of his friends dying and monsters stealing his happiness, but Clara might be just the ray of hope he needs to muster the energy to fight these frosty freaks. Richard E. Grant will be making a guest appearance as a villain called Doctor Simeon on the show. We just can’t help but get a little excited!
