Trump targets Meloni over Iran: “They are not with us”

U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Italy and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni over Iran’s nuclear threat. Trump claimed that Italy was not standing with the United States.

U.S. President Donald Trump targeted Italy in a social media post, accusing Rome and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of ignoring Iran’s nuclear threat despite years of U.S. support.

Trump: “Not nice”

“After spending trillions of dollars on NATO, Italy and its Prime Minister are not even thinking about dealing with Iran and its very serious nuclear threat,” Trump wrote.

Trump also said the United States had defended Italy for many years, adding, “But when we are tested, they are not with us to defend us and the rest of the world. Not nice.”
