Trump warns Iran: “Another attack on Qatar and we will destroy South Pars completely”
Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate as US President Donald Trump issues a stark warning to Iran, threatening severe retaliation if Qatar is targeted again.

US President Donald Trump has reignited tensions in the region with a strong statement following Israel’s strike on Iran’s South Pars Natural Gas Field. As attacks on critical energy infrastructure intensify, Trump’s remarks signaled not only a diplomatic stance but a direct military warning. His comments, particularly regarding the protection of Qatar’s LNG facilities, underscored the growing risk of a wider regional conflict.
Trump: “The US and Qatar had no prior knowledge”
Trump emphasized that neither the United States nor Qatar had any prior knowledge of Israel’s attack on the South Pars field. He stated that Iran had misinterpreted the situation, leading to what he described as an unjust response.
Trump said:
“Israel, driven by anger over what is happening in the Middle East, launched a strong attack on a major facility in Iran known as the South Pars Natural Gas Field. A relatively small part of the facility was hit. The United States knew nothing about this specific attack; and the State of Qatar had no involvement in any way, shape or form, nor did it have any knowledge of it. Unfortunately, Iran did not understand this and unfairly attacked part of Qatar’s LNG facilities”
Direct threat to Iran
Trump made it clear that any further attack on Qatar would trigger a powerful response. He warned that the entire South Pars facility could be targeted if Iran proceeds with another strike.
He stated:
“Unless Iran foolishly decides to attack Qatar again, which is completely innocent in this matter, there will be no further Israeli attacks on this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field. However, if Iran does attack, the United States—whether with or without Israel’s help or approval—will blow the entire South Pars Natural Gas Field off the map with a force and intensity never before seen. I do not want to authorize such destruction due to its long-term impact on Iran’s future, but if Qatar’s LNG is attacked again, I will not hesitate”
Rising tensions in the region
The targeting of key energy facilities continues to push the Middle East closer to a broader crisis. With strategic sites like South Pars at the center of the conflict, the situation is no longer just military but deeply tied to global energy security.
Trump’s remarks are widely seen as a sign that the region may be heading toward a new and more dangerous phase of escalation.
