Lead singer of U2, BONO, has received emergency surgery after an injury which he suffered during preparations for a tour of the world famous band.

It has also been reported that U2, have postponed their United States tour date of 3rd June and have also cased doubt on the Dublin-based rock band’s Glastonbury appearance on June 25.

The 50-year-old star was reportedly treated in Munich, Germany at a specialist neurosurgery and is expected to stay there for several more days.

The world famous rock bands website wrote on Saturday “Following Bono’s unexpected back surgery earlier today(Saturday), Live Nation confirmed that the U2 U2360° tour launch previously scheduled for June 3rd in Salt Lake City has been postponed.”

“U2 fans with tickets to the June 3rd event are encouraged to retain tickets until updated show information can be provided. “

The Irish band were expected to appear in several concerts as part of the U2 U2360° tour in North America and Europe.

Paul McGuinness the U2 manager said “We will make plans to reinstate the dates as soon as possible.” about the postponed tour.
