US singer Noah Cyrus talks about her tranquilizer addiction

She's Miley Cyrus' little sister — and that's what drove her into addiction.

Now singer Noah Cyrus is open about her addiction.

The US singer Noah Cyrus spoke in an interview about her mental health and the development of her addiction. She first tried sedatives when she was 18, she told Rolling Stone music magazine: “My boyfriend at the time was the first person who gave me Xanax and it became a way for us to bond.”

She wanted to fit in with him and do what he wanted and others did. “As soon as I realized that it was possible to block things out for a second and numb the pain, it was over,” explained Miley Cyrus’ younger sister in the interview published on Tuesday.

Suffered from notoriety

As the musician continued, in her youth she suffered, among other things, from being the youngest child in a famous family. She was often just called “Hannah Montana’s little sister”, based on her sister Miley’s Disney role.

At the beginning of her withdrawal, it took Cyrus a few months “to get back on my own two feet”. She was helped by the work on her debut album “The Hardest Part”, which is due to be released in September. She is now in therapy and spends a lot of time with her family and their two dogs.
