Voice problems: Pearl Jam cancel third concert in a row

The concert on July 24th in Amsterdam could also not take place due to Vedder's voice problems.

Pearl Jam must have imagined their European tour differently. Because of vocal problems from front man Eddie Vedder, the band had to cancel their show in Amsterdam. The tickets can be refunded.

“We apologize from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who worked so hard to put the show together and to the supporters we were looking forward to,” the official statement said on Twitter. It’s the “worst scenario”

Later concerts could also be cancelled

Pearl Jam was originally scheduled to perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on July 25th. It is unclear whether the concert will actually take place. The band definitely promises to focus their energies on that. Vedder would “receive ongoing medical support.”

The culprit is the smoke that Vedder had to inhale during a performance in Paris. Since then, the singer has suffered from problems with the vocal cords. As a result, the concerts in Vienna and Prague had to be cancelled.

European tour over

After July 25, Pearl Jam will be on hiatus. Frontman Eddie Vedder can save his voice, it won’t start again until autumn. The tour through North America starts on September 1st.
