Iran Claims Strike on Netanyahu’s Office

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that in the tenth wave of retaliation it targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office and the Israeli Air Force command headquarters using Khyber missiles. Israeli authorities have not confirmed the claim.

As the war triggered by US–Israeli strikes on Iran enters its third day, tensions continue to escalate. The IRGC said it carried out a new missile attack under what it calls “Operation True Promise,” claiming that key Israeli leadership and military sites were hit in “targeted and surprise attacks.”

There has been no independent verification of the reported strike.

“Netanyahu’s fate is uncertain”

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC’s public relations office stated that the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the location of the Israeli Air Force commander were “severely hit” during the tenth wave of operations.

The statement included the phrase: “The fate of the prime minister of the Zionist regime remains uncertain.”

Iranian media repeated the claim, but Israeli officials have not issued any confirmation. Israel typically imposes restrictions on reporting damage to strategic or government facilities.

Tenth wave of retaliation

Iran says it has launched ten waves of missile and drone strikes since the joint US–Israeli assault on Iranian territory on February 28.

Tehran has framed its actions as legitimate self-defense under international law, following what it describes as coordinated attacks that killed senior Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iranian officials say both Israeli territory and US-linked regional bases are being targeted in successive phases.

Explosions and regional escalation

Following the IRGC announcement, explosions were reported in and around Jerusalem. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it detected new missile launches from Iran and activated air defense systems.

The confrontation has extended beyond Israel. Several Gulf countries hosting US military forces have heightened alert levels, with airspace closures and flight disruptions reported.

Claims Netanyahu was abroad

Some regional sources and social media accounts claimed that Netanyahu was in Germany at the time of the reported strike. There has been no official confirmation of that claim.

Rising toll and widening war

The Iranian Red Crescent reported that 555 people have been killed and 747 injured in Iran since the US–Israeli campaign began.

The February 28 strikes reportedly killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking Iranian officials.

As missile and drone exchanges continue, the risk of the conflict expanding into a broader regional war remains high.
