Adele: Did she turn down Queen Elizabeth

Just being invited to perform at Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee will have been an honor for many musicians. But megastar Adele is said to have rebuffed the royals.

Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations spanned four days. At a big concert in honor of the English monarch, greats like Ed Sheeran, Sir Elton John, Sir Rod Stewart, Alicia Keys and the rock band Queen performed. But two other superstars should actually be booked for the concert in front of Buckingham Palace: Adele and Harry Styles.

According to a report by the “Daily Mail”, both are said to have canceled in advance. In particular, the absence of the “Rolling in the Deep” singer, who was awarded a knightly order, is said to have confused the British blue-blooded people themselves.

This is the reason for Adele’s rejection of the Queen

A source close to the singer is said to have found out that alleged scheduling conflicts were cited in order to stay away from the event. So much for the somewhat weak justification. But precisely because of this, the royals were anything but pleased.

“It caused a lot of surprises, especially because she was appointed MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire, editor’s note)”, the source is quoted as saying, who is therefore surprised by the decision. “How many opportunities will there be to perform for the Queen in front of Buckingham Palace?”

According to the “Daily Mail” and statements from Styles environment, Harry Styles’ cancellation is also said to have been justified with his busy schedule. The former One Direction singer just released his third album Harry’s House. Both artists have not commented on the reports.
