The Turkish international Burak Yılmaz has scored 22 goals in 17 games this season in Turkish Super League and has drawn transfer interest from top European sides, inc. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.

Trabzon / NationalTurk – Trabzonspor striker Burak Yilmaz has admitted that he would find it difficult to decline a move to Arsenal, and Arsenal fans express their desire to see Burak Yılmaz wearing Arsenal colours in Arsenal forums and on twitter.

The Turkish international has been targeted by important European sides such as AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund after scoring 22 goals in only 17 Super Lig games this season and became super important for Trabzonspor.

The 26-year-old insists that he would like to remain in Turkey until the end of the campaign but admits a move to the Emirates Stadium would be hard to turn down.

“I am a Besiktas fan, i have always admitted that, but I am a Trabzonspor player until the end of the season; if I were to move abroad I would want to move to a big club. I would accept a transfer to Arsenal,” he told on a sports show on Turkish TV. He added that Holland giants Ajax have not contacted him or Trabzonspor.

Burak Yilmaz is on course to break Trabzonspor’s club record of most goal scored by a player in a season, held by Fatih Tekke with 31 goals. He played for Besiktas, Manisaspor and Fenerbahce before blooming late for Trabzonspor side since 2 seasons.

He also csecured a starting place in the Turkey National side during the Euro 2012 qualifiers under Guus Hiddink, prompting the Dutchman to proclaim: “Burak evolved to be one of Europe’s best strikers, I’m proud of his recent achievements.”
