Bolivia: Domestic tourism moves 1.1 million visitors and generates Bs 907.5 million

Last year during the three days of the Easter holiday in the country, a movement of 372,500 tourists was generated

Internal tourism is reactivated little by little and moves around 1.1 million visitors and generates approximately Bs 907.5 million in the Bolivian economy, highlighted the Vice Minister of Tourism, Eliana Ampuero, in a report by the ABI agency.

“Domestic tourism is the one that has been boosting the economy considerably in a larger context than during the 2021 administration, internal tourism has moved 1,100,000 Bolivian men and women in the national territory, generating approximately Bs 907.5 million in economy in the country,” the authority said, according to the state media.

She indicated that, for example, in 2021, during the three days of the Easter holiday in the country, a movement of 372,500 tourists and approximately Bs 172 million was generated.

“Those Bs 172 million have been distributed in food, lodging, transportation, recreation activities, communication, tourist services, handicrafts, minor purchases, among others,” she explained.

In this line, the deputy minister invited the Bolivian population to visit the tourist attractions that the country houses in all its ecological floors to contribute to the continuity of the economic reactivation of the country.

This Easter holiday, it is proposed to visit the Uyuni salt flats, Copacabana, Rurrenabaque, the Pantanal, Madidi, the Jesuit Missions and the Wine Route, in the departments of Potosí, La Paz, Santa Cruz, Tarija, among others.

In each place, visitors will be delighted not only with the tourist attraction, but also with the typical gastronomy, the culture of the region, the production and other peculiar characteristics that stand out.
