Brazilian National Football side manager Dunga announces his 23 man squad for the FIFA 2010 World Cup held in South Africa.

The five time winners of the biggest competition in, international sports have named their 23 man squad which will be competing in the FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa.

The biggest surprise by the Brazil manager, Dunga, former Brazilian World Cup winner in the 1994 World Cup held in the United States, was that Ronaldinho was left out of the squad.

The Two-time world player of the year, Ronaldinho and Adriano were both left out of the World Cup squad.

Another interesting choice by the manager of Italian and German descent is that rather then choosing an official squad of 30 players and then dropping to 23, Dunga has chosen his 23-man squad right away.

Dunga has been head coach of the Brazilian National Side since July 2006 with a very impressive record with the national team as he has won 45 games out of 63 games which he has managed.

Ronaldinho and Adriano, the former Inter Milan star will now only take part in the competition watched by billions around the world only if there is an injury in the squad.

A surprise selection by Dunga has been, former Manchester United and Besiktas attacking midfielder José Kleberson who is currently playing for Brazilian side Flamengo.

Bellow is the 23 man squad of the Brazilian National team which will compete in the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (AS Roma), Gomes (Tottenham Hotspur)

Defenders: Maicon (Inter Milan), Luisao (Benfica), Michel Bastos (Olympique Lyon), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Thiago Silva (AC Milan), Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Lucio (Inter Milan), Juan (AS Roma).

  1. I love brazil since my sence is developed.Ihope brazil will again grip the world cup 2010.However my favourate player Ronaldino is not playing. What a free kick taken against England in the last world cup. Andrino is also a left footed fantastic player.Dunga has to think onceagain.

  2. Many many mistakes we all know that Dunga is a great coach but i think he’s making a mistake now ….. ronaldinho an adriano aren’t good as they were few years ago but you can’t ignore them and i think that pato and marcelo deserve to exist in the field cause they are great.
i don’t know what is dunga trying to prove but i’m pretty sure that -with all respect- not Nilmar is the one who’ll bring the wrold cup …… anyway hope to see a nice 2010 world cup

  3. Maybe Dunga is getting mad.If he is well i’m afraid he’d better find a psychiatrist to replace his senses that caused him to forget the likes of Marcelo,Ronaldinho,Adriano,Ronaldo,Diego and Lucas. But all the same may God help us to win the world cup.

  4. In as much as Dunga has made an impressive performance during his reign as Brazillian coach,it is very sad that he’s rulled out the likes of Adriano and ofcourse Ronaldinho. It is inurguably true that Ronaldinho will have added colour to the Brazillian squad.Dunga reconsider your selection.having made an impressive performance does not mean that you cannot error,oh yes you can.We want Ronaldinho included in the squad for the good of the game.Don’t be mistaken he is still a good player or probably you havent been watching him in serie A or you just have personal issues with him, tell the fans.

  5. Dunga certainly knows what e is doing and what he has done ! I see a lot of people here are begging for Ronaldinho to be back in the squad not realising Ronnie slipped way wit his agression and passion for the game in the past 3 years . It is pretty clear the coach chooses player that are hungry to win, the players that have past and present passion to go all the way unlike Adriano bar hopping in Italy and Brazil and getting drunk all the time, underperforming clearly unlike him back in the day , Ronaldinho is having too much fun clubbing for te past 3 years nd obviously declining his seriousness and passion for the game . Dunga has made an awsome selection but putting GRAFITE on the squad, he is ridiculously good player tat can cange momentum at any point of the game, this is a player that has always been a very strong and creative guy although he has never competed for Brazil in a big tournament like worldcup, another guy obviously is Michel Bastos, the MVP of French league playing for LYON , his shots are cannonballs and he playes with a serious Brazilian flavour defence-offence-counterattack. The rest of the squad is solid and the golies are probably amongst the best in the world right now Cesar and Gomes ! I have an absolute trust in Brazil squad for this coming World Cup and i know they have some firepower to take it this year in SA 2010.

    Brazil-Copa El Mundo Champions 2010 (6) timesssss !!!!!!

  6. it is unfortunate that in this upcoming gigantic world cup soccer even my favorite all rounder Ronaldinho is not playing. i suggest the selector of the squad need to review and include him as he is said to be the heart of the team. thanks
