Three injured in grenade blast in India’s Assam

Three persons were injured in a grenade blast in Tinsukia of Assam on Monday evening at around 6:20pm.

The grenade was lobbed in a Maruti Van near a shop. Three cart pullers were grievously injured when the grenade exploded. The injured persons have been identified as Ajay Sharma, Ramprasad and Terash Shah, who were later admitted in the Dibrugarh Assam Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

The incident occurred at a time when the anti- talk faction of the militant outfit United Liberation Front of Assam led by Paresh Boruah sent a message to the local media that it would fight for a sovereign state of Assam.
