Internet’s new phenomenon sexy Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke warm-up follow by 23m, Video / Showbiz News

Sexy Hurdler Michelle Jenneke unique pre-race warm-up in Barcelona follow by 23 million people all over world.

“It’s just a bit of a dance,” the 19-year-old said before treating Sydneysiders to a crash course in her hip shake recently.

Despite video of her warm-up in Barcelona being viewed more than 23 million times, Jenneke downplayed her online following.

“(23 million) is just a few,” Jenneke said before the iconic Sydney event.

Jenneke told the Hornsby Advocate last year it was easy to stay grounded with her celebrity mainly in social media.

“To be honest I don’t really feel there is that much attention on me,” she said.

“Most of my contact with fans is through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, so it doesn’t really impact on me.

“I’m just plain old Shelly.

“My friends have been teasing me a bit more, that’s about it,” Jenneke said.

Jenneke participated in the race, too, a first for the 100m hurdling star despite growing up in Sydney.

She was not the only Cherrybrook Athletics Club member front and centre on the day, with Ryan Jones, 12, so inspired by her pre-race routine that he took out the 12-and-under race for the first time in five attempts.

Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke, 20, has been training since age 10. She even won a silver medal in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. But that’s not why she has received worldwide attention.

Most remember her as the peppy girl doing a pre-race warm-up dance in a video that went viral.

Unlike other 20-somethings who seem to fall apart in the limelight, Jenneke seems to be handling it pretty well. The Aussie has been using her name to help fundraise for charity. The Westpac City2Surf event raised almost $4 million for charities and causes throughout Australia.

She also had a major hand in raising money for the Daniel Berry Fundraising Campaign, which helped with the medical expenses of her friend, Australian para-athlete Daniel Berry. Berry lost his battle to brain cancer in July. Jenneke plays Australian rules football, soccer and handball. She has also raced a 45-horsepower car.
