Levante vs Real Madrid: Cristiano Ronaldo Out

Cristiano Ronaldo is out tonight for the Levante vs Real Madrid Copa del Rey match.

This Copa del Rey last 16 tie was effectively put to rest in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid pummelled Levante 8-0, courtesy of hat-tricks from Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid practically made it to the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey when Real Madrid defeated Levante 8-0 in the first leg, but they will nevertheless work hard to seal their pass in Valencia.

Jose Mourinho has left many players behind in Madrid, but he says his team will be motivated to keep on a winning streak. He also points out that the men who have travelled to Valencia will fight hard to prove their worth to earn a spot on the starting eleven.

Fernando Gago has recovered from his serious knee injury and will make his season debut. Five academy players have also made it on the coach’s list.

Levante’s coach Luis Garcia doesn’t believe his side could make a comeback, but he wants his men to leave a good impression before the home crowd.

Regular league starters like Ballesteros, Xavi Torres, Juanlu and Juanfran will rest, while youth teamers Lois, Higon and Mossa may get a chance to face the Madridistas.
