New Star Trek Movie:Enterprise explore space again Into Darkness / Hollywood News Video

Captain James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock of the task again the new Star Trek movie at the beginning Into Darkness is coming soon.

Last week brought the”announcement trailer”; now Star Trek Into Darkness has a full-on teaser right here that drops a few more hints about the film. It’s still only two minutes long, but you can now rest assured that there’s lots of space action as well as the planet-bound stuff, and that Benedict Cumberbatch sounds really sinister.

What else did we spot? Well, those who were lucky enough to see the Star Trek Into Darkness prologue in front of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey this weekend will be familiar with that red forest through which Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and Dr McCoy (Karl Urban) are running, and the volcano that appears to be erupting at one point. For those who didn’t see it, they’re trying not to break Starfleet’s Prime Directive and avoid contact with a primitive race while simultaneously saving that race from a volcanic disaster.

You may also be able to draw certain conclusions from the sight of Noel Clarke dropping a large tablet in a glass of water; namely, that he accepted an offer made by Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain to save Clarke’s daughter’s life.

New snippets include someone rocketing through space, multiple shots of space battles from both inside and outside the ships, and a new look at Cumberbatch’s villain in that HAL-9000-looking cell. The final shot from the Japanese version of the announcement trailer, with the hands meeting on either side of a pane of glass, is included here and still reminds us very strongly of that guaranteed tear-jerker in Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan.

Why, at this rate we should be able to figure out who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing, for definite, by – hang on, let’s just calculate this, carry the one…Oh. It’s going to take until May 17 at the current rate of drip-feeding. Which just happens to be the day that Star Trek Into Darkness hits cinemas anyway. Oh well, at least it’s only five more months.
