Prince Harry falls off his horse while playing polo

Prince Harry took part in a polo tournament on Sunday.

But the ride was not very successful. The 37-year-old was roughly thrown out of the saddle.

When a rider falls off a horse, it can quickly become painful. This is exactly what Prince Harry had to experience. It was the first public appearance of the former royal since Queen Elizabeth II’s jubilee. But not everything went according to plan: Duchess Meghan’s husband fell on Sunday in the posh “Polo and Racquet Club” in Santa Barbara, California.

The 37-year-old fell off his horse and other polo players rushed over to him to see how Prince Harry was doing. The all-clear was quickly given: Harry was able to get up again. The animal was fine too. This could even look forward to a pat from the prince. After a few minutes of the break, the match resumed.

Polo player since his youth

But at least that wasn’t the end of the British sporting drama, as the British newspaper “Metro” reports. Harry wanted to play the rest of the game on the back of another animal. In the end, however, according to the report, he should have worn out three horses. And then his team lost 11 to 12. Which hurt Harry more: the fall or the result? Not clear.

After all, the royal has been active in polo since his youth. Just like his father Prince Charles. His brother William, on the other hand, has turned his back on the dangerous sport. Apparently just like Harry’s wife Duchess Meghan. Contrary to other customs, his wife was not present as a spectator this time.
