A man, who went on a killing spree in Bosnia, has killed three and injured seven.

The incident which occurred in central Bosnia late last night has shocked the community in which four children were also amongst the injured.

According to reports the man went from home to home in a village, which is close to a town in Visoko.

Police spokeswoman Aldina Ahmic whp spoke to Reuters via a telephone has also suggested that the man may have been mentally ill.

It has been reported that the attacker is also in the hospital as he had received a head wound.

Six of the injured have undergone surgery and are in stable condition said Sarajevo Kosevo hospital spokeswoman Biljana Jandric.

Two of the injured were reported to be seriously hurt but were in stable condition. One of the injured, a mother of two was also treated for facial injuries but later discharged.

The attack which resembles the Chinese school murders, has shocked the small peaceful community where many are related to each other.
