Theo Walcott is transferring to Liverpool for £15million / Liverpool Transfer News

Nationalturk  said Theo Walcott  would be transferred to Liverpool in July, this transfer will happening the weekend Theo Walcott on the way to Liverpool.

Liverpool are thought to be a possible destination as news circulates that Arsenal are prepared to sell Theo Walcott…

England international attacker Theo Walcott could be available for transfer during the current window with Arsenal wary of losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has so far refused to sign a new contract at the Emirates manager Arsene Wenger is therefore preparing to cash in on the player for around £12m.

Liverpool will face competition from reigning champions Manchester City in the pursuit of Walcott however and Wenger also retains hope the pacy wide man will change his stance and put pen to paper on the new 75k a week deal which is on the table.

Although talks over a new contract for Walcott took place last week, he has not extended his Arsenal deal.

Walcott was left out of Arsenal’s starting line-up against Stoke on Sunday and that has encouraged Liverpool that a deal may be possible.

It is understood Walcott has not made a decision on his future, but is happy at Arsenal.

City could test Arsenal’s nerve with a £15million bid, knowing the Londoners must weigh up whether to sell now or potentially lose Walcott on a free transfer in less than 12 months.

Liverpool are trying to raise the funds to bid for targets such as Walcott by offloading players.

The former Southampton star has had an inconsistent time at Arsenal after signing as a talent-laden 16-year-old back in January 2006.

That year saw Walcott rise to prominence worldwide with a shock call up to Sven Goran Eriksson’s World Cup squad. In the buildup to the tournament he became the youngest ever England international at 17 years and 75 days.

Now though the versatile forward, who can also play through the middle as well as on the flanks, is thought to be considering his future as the Gunners again lose key players.

Club captain Robin van Persie has joined Manchester United whilst influential midfielder Alex Song has moved to Barcelona. Their sales follow the departures last summer of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy.

Walcott, who was left on the bench for Sunday’s clash with Stoke City, enjoyed arguably his most productive campaign last term with 11 goals and 13 assists from 46 appearances.

Liverpool are thought to be keen to improve their attacking options with a lack of goals costing them dear last season. Doubts also remain over the future of record signing Andy Carroll with the striker known to be available for the right fee. The Merseysiders have also been strongly linked with Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge.
