The Tape which was aired on the Vakit Newspaper with the heading “Deniz Baykal’s sex Video” was posted on the news agencies website habervaktim.com on Friday causing a huge scandal.

The video stayed on air for only 30 minutes but this was enough for it to go viral on the Internet causing a shock effect in Turkey.

Deniz Baykal spoke on Monday over the scandal tape which allegedly contained the 71-year-old politician and a fellow Member of Parliament (MP), Nesrin Baytok, who was a former personal secretary of the 18-year leader of the CHP, and announced that he was resigning from his post.

Deniz Baykal who announced his resignation to a swarm of reporters at the Republican People’s Party headquarters also blamed the government for the video saying “There is no possibility of the government not knowing of such a disgusting conspiracy which is about to be made public. “

“Those people who act like condemning the conspiracy are those who actually committed the crimes, (though no names were used he referred to a speech by the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who condemned those responsible for the video.)”

As a response to Deniz Baykal’s comments in front of the Turkish press, the Prime Minister of Turkey. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also called for a press conference in which he condemned the speech of the former leader of the CHP.

The Prime Minister said “Just like you (Media and public) I watched, CHP’s leader, Deniz Baykal’s speech on TV with astonishment.”

“When my friends (MP’s) informed me of the incident (alleged sex tape), in days leading to the main vote of the constitutional reform in the Turkish parliament, though I did not watch the video myself, I acted from what friends told me and immediately spoke with the Transportation & Communication Minister to do whatever is possible to stop the video from spreading.”

“As the government, we cannot sit and watch such videos which are against the morals of people to go around in such a way.”

“Secret filming and these ugly images, to be seen on the Internet is against morals, the law, un-principle, inhuman and is not something that we will tolerate,”

“Which is why we tried our utmost to try and stop the circulation of the videos,”

“I also told members of my government, that should they be faced with questions regarding the incident, they should not allow time for any speculation and say that, though the Republican People’s Party is our political rival and we dispute and argue in many aspects regarding politics, such personal matters will never go under out evaluation context,”

“and the situation that we are in should not be turned into a political polemic.”

“However because this hole incident evolved around the leader of a political party, a large chunk of the media has given special attention to the incident, which we do not approve of.”

“To the contrary of all our good nature and support, the announcements, of the main opposition party leader was as ugly and as low level as the incident which occurred and has turned into a political slur.”

“No one, No one has the right to involve me, my friends, our government and our party in their ugly behavior and cannot bring us down to their level. “

“Rather then questioning our good natured actions, trying to make his own personal problems our problems and to politicize the whole incident, he should show the maturity which is expected of him at least in these important days.”

“Beside this, if he (Baykal) has any data or information regarding this incident, he should share this information and data with the media, the right government bodies and the police.”

“Our citizens are watching the incident with surprise.”

  1. As’ False news not false tape’ comments.. see you Baykal. Howevere, there is a correction which needs attention. Er-Dog-an is not and never will be the best leader Turkey has had. They train these horses at religious schools with their blinkers on…Er-Dog-An is an assertive and strategic leader who has just hidden his past and ultimate ambitions behind his political chair. The contrary will surface when his religious padisha personailty is more noticable. By then it will be too late for Turkey unless him and his type understand what secularism means.

  2. Mr. Erdogan is the best leader this country has ever had.. Baykal, on the other hand, is just there to call for and hope for a disaster for all of us at every chance he gets.. Ruling a country is noting like screwing in hotel rooms and he now knows that.. Goodbye Baykal.. See you Never
