Zelensky: We can give up NATO membership

President of Ukraine Zelensky made an important statement for Russia’s NATO membership, which is among the ceasefire conditions.

Zelensky said his country is ready to renounce NATO membership, provided that the Russian troops withdraw, a ceasefire is achieved and Ukraine’s security is guaranteed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview broadcast on Ukrainian television, explained that this is a compromise for the West, which does not know what to do with Ukraine regarding NATO, for Ukraine, which wants to ensure its security, and for Russia, which does not want NATO to expand further.

Zelensky said his country is ready to renounce NATO membership, provided that the Russian troops withdraw, a ceasefire is achieved and Ukraine’s security is guaranteed.

Reiterating his call for direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelensky said that it is impossible to understand whether Russia wants to end the war unless you meet with Putin.
