He is arguably the best ever to have played football (soccer) in professional level, any soccer enthusiast will easily spot him out as at least one of the best ever, but Diego Maradona sure is one of the most controversial figures in the game.

Maradona being assigned as the Argentina head coach was seen by many as a mistake but not in Argentina where he is seen as a God.

But despite all the controversy, the talismanic Argentinean is seen as a great inspiration to the players which holds arguably one of the strongest striking force in the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

With players such as; player of the year Lionel Messi, Real Madrid goal machine Gonzalo Higuain, Atletico Madrid young gun, Sergio Aguero, Champions League winner, Diego Milito and Manchester City ace, Carlos Tevez.

However Maradona’s training ground antics for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa have been the talking point of the Argentina squad and nation.

For a laugh and punishment, the players in the loosing team of a game at the training ground were ordered by Maradona to line up on the goal line while the other half of the squad were getting ready to shoot at the goal.

But fair play to Maradona as he was also on line ready to be pelted by the Argentinean players alongside the losing half of the squad. They all turned their backs and bent over ready for the soccer balls to be shot at them

The winning squad shot dozens of balls at the goal, full speed hitting several players including son-in-law Aguero and Walter Samuel.

Some of the players punished were seen kicking the ball back at the winning team after several balls were kicked at the goal after the players turned their face around.

But ultimately it was all a laugh and the training ground amusements were soon left to good old sweat and pain.
