I am quite proud that he’s currently under contract with a team like Real Madrid” The veteran coach of many nationa teams and clubs globally have also hinted on Nuri’s still ongoing development process.

“However, I feel that it would perhaps have been better for his development had he stayed with Borussia Dortmund.” Hiddink ponders. Guus Hiddink felt that the 23-year-old would have benefited more from the playing time than having to compete with several world class midfielders like Kaka, Sami Khedira, Mesut Ozil, Hamit Altintop and Xabi Alonso for a spot in midfield. There would have been plenty of time to complete a move to Spain at a later stage in his career.” Turkey coach Guus Hiddink obviously has questioned Nuri Sahin’s decision to leave Borussia Dortmund for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, calls it a ”probably a premature move”
