King Charles and Queen Camilla arrive in the US for state visit

King Charles III and Queen Camilla were welcomed at the White House by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump as part of their four-day state visit. It is the first official visit to the US by a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II’s trip in 2007.

Royal couple welcomed with ceremony

A red carpet was rolled out for King Charles and Queen Camilla as they began their visit to the United States.

They were greeted with flowers by children of UK service personnel stationed in the US. The couple then walked through a guard of honour as a military band played both the US and UK national anthems.

First visit since 2007

Reception at the British Embassy

After their White House meeting, King Charles and Queen Camilla left for an outdoor reception held in their honour at the British Embassy.
