Champions League Semi Final – Bayern Munich yesterday were laughing after an inspirational Ivica Olic, scored a hat-trick to take the German giants to the Champions League Final in Madrid.

The German’s played in typical form and took control of the game from the start with an inspirational Olic, Philipp Lahm and of course the tactical expertise of Louis van Gaal.

Bayern should have been 1-0 up in just the second minute of the game when Lyon captain Cris was passed by Olic and crossed into the box only for Thomas Muller to head wide.

However, Bayern took control of the game and punished Lyon on the 26th minute after Ivica Olic received the ball and cleverly wrong sided France international goal keeper Hugo Lloris. Lyon Vs Bayern Munich 0-1

Lyon worries had worsened when the French teams inspirational captain Cris was sent of for picking up two yellow cards in just one minute on the 60th minute.

The game was all but over just seven minutes after the French player was sent of with Olic scored his and Bayerns second goal with a slick finish with his left foot on the 67th minute.

Olic then score his hat-trick on the 78th minute when he headed the ball from a Philipp Lahm cross to kill the game off.

Louis van Gaal’s men were on top form against Lyon who eliminated Liverpool in the group stages and also world football giants Real Madrid.

Lyon did have a few good chances but it would be an understatement to say that the German giants deserved to win.

Now Bayern Munich will be looking at the Champions League final where they will face either Inter Milan or Barcelona in the Champions League Final held at the Bernabeu stadium on 22 May.

Van Gaal will be aiming to be the third manager ever to win cups with two teams in Europe.

However much the inspirational Franck Ribery was not missed in the Lyon game, the German giants will surly miss the winger in the final after picking up a three match ban for a straight red in the first leg against Lyon at the Allianz Arena.
