Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan surprise with calls

It's a call neither of them expected: suddenly they have Harry and Meghan on the line. A video of it has now been published on the Internet.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have made unexpected calls to a number of young people. In a video posted to Vimeo by Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund, the Sussexes surprise prize-money recipients over the phone.

Prince Harry and his wife made the calls from the backyard of their $12 million California home.

The Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund has set itself the goal of making the digital world better and safer for young people. A total of 26 initiatives across the United States will receive a total of $2 million in support of this important work, with individual grants ranging from $25,000 to $200,000. Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation is a founding member of the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund.

“Especially our children are incredibly grateful”

“They congratulated me and said they were very proud of our work,” revealed prize money recipient Tazin Khan Norelius of the non-profit organization Cyber Collective after her conversation with the Sussexes “People”. Duchess Meghan also asked Norelius to greet her father from her, which was “really sweet”. Norelius says he got the idea for Cyber Collective after her father was hacked.

Prince Harry, meanwhile, thanked Encode Justice’s Sneha Revanur for the work he has done, adding: “Our children in particular are incredibly grateful.” His wife then added with a laugh: “They just don’t know it yet, but they will.” Prince Archie is only four years old, his sister Lilibet is two years younger.

Duchess Meghan, who celebrates her 42nd birthday on Friday, wore a beige turtleneck sleeveless top and a fitted, tonal pencil skirt for the professionally produced video. In addition, she combined small golden earrings. Prince Harry opted for a casual white shirt and brown chinos.
