Princess Charlene: Elegant appearance in the palace
At the event of a well-known jewelery label, Princess Charlène made an elegant appearance in the gardens of the Prince's Palace.
One appointment follows the next: After Princess Charlène, 44, went into hiding for almost a year due to health problems, the 44-year-old is now diligently pursuing her royal duties again. At a jewelry show in the Prince’s Palace, she has now shown herself publicly again.
Elegant appearance in midnight blue
The Princess looked particularly elegant at the event attended by guests from Maison Van Cleef & Arpels, as seen in pictures of the Principality on Instagram. She wore a midnight blue jumpsuit with wide lapels and a silver statement necklace around her neck, which has a special meaning. Charlène received the ocean tiara for her wedding, a work of art for which the jewelers Van Cleef & Arpels created ocean waves from around 1200 gemstones and 70 carats especially for the former swimmer. As a nice gesture, Prince Albert’s wife wears exactly one of these waves around her neck at the reception.
Together with Prince Albert, 64, Charlène welcomed the guests to a cocktail in the gardens of the Prince’s Palace. The occasion was a presentation by the jewelry label Maison Van Cleef & Arpels. This presented the new Alhambra creation, which also supports “The Princess Grace Foundation”.
Grace Kelly was also a fan
Princess Grace of Monaco (1929-1982) has her own history with the jewelry label. When the American actress Prince Rainier III. (1923-2005) married, they celebrated their marriage with a jewelry set by Van Cleef & Arpels. A short time later, the label was appointed “official supplier for the Principality of Monaco”.
