SCHENGEN VISA NO AVAILABLE DATES
Turkey is experiencing a majör crisis regarding the European Union Schengen visa. According to the news by Ali Gülen from Sözcü, applications directed to the official system iDATA for Germany and Italy visas were transferred to intermediaries.
While there is a wait for months for every application from tourism to family reunification, appointments are sold for prices between 200 and 1000 Euros. Making an appointment directly from the official website often results in a warning saying “no available dates”.
THERE ARE OPTIONS AS GOLD, PLATINUM, VIP
The Istanbul tariff of intermediaries WHO sell appointments for 200 Euros in Ankara and İzmir is 250 Euros. There are appointments that go up to 1000 Euros under the name of “Gold” or “VIP” applications. However, iDATA’s official service fee is around 45 Euros. By making bulk purchases through the system, intermediary companies push ordinary applicants into the background and arbitrarily direct the transactions.
CONSULATE IS SILENT
The German Consulate’s lack of response, the inability to query the iDATA system and fraudulent emails are deepening the crisis.
While those waiting for family reunification, students and business people wait for months, millions of Euros are changing hands in an unregistered manner. The fees paid by those whose visas are rejected are not refunded and the reason for the rejection is not disclosed.
