Zelensky connects with Mila Kunis after donation

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher raised over $30 million for Ukraine. The country’s president is grateful. Now he has published pictures showing him on the phone with the stars.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher for their support. “Impressed by their determination. They inspire the world,” wrote the 44-year-old on Twitter and on his Instagram channel on Sunday. In addition, Selenskyj posted a photo showing a video call with him and the actor couple.

Kunis and Kutcher sit in front of the computer in casual clothes and smile at the camera. Selenskyj can also be seen in his casual look, which has long since become iconic, but is apparently in an office room at a desk during the video switch.

In an official statement on Monday, he described Mila Kunis and her husband as a “celebrity couple” and expressed his pride that they believed in his country’s future. “They help IDPs by raising funds. And the two have already raised $35 million,” the statement said, adding: “I thanked them on behalf of our people and on behalf of all of us. That’s a good result by some of our friends in America.”

Mila Kunis is from Ukraine

In early March, Kunis and Kutcher called for donations for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The goal of their fundraiser was 30 million US dollars, according to Selenskyj around 35 million US dollars were collected. The President paid tribute to the commitment of the Hollywood stars: They were among the first “to react to our grief,” Zelenskyj wrote.

Kunis was born in Ukraine and came to the United States with her family in 1991. The actress called the Russian invasion of Ukraine an “unjust attack on humanity”.
