Cristiano Ronaldo was looking forward to the birth of his twins, but now one of the babies has died. Among the many expressions of condolence is a longer post from his sister Katia Aveiro.
On Monday, Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez made the shocking news public on their Instagram channels: After looking forward to the birth of their twins, one of them passed away. It would have been a boy.
Shortly after becoming known, Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro addresses her followers and finds the following words for her sadness: “I love you and my heart is with you. May God help you and strengthen you on this path. Our little angel is already in God’s bosom.”
“It’s the Greatest Pain”
At the same time, the pop singer reveals how the other baby is doing: “Our little girl, who is solid and strong and in full health here, will teach us more and more that only love counts.”
“It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the death of our son. It is the greatest pain parents can feel,” with these words the grieving parents shared their loss with the world. The family was shaken by the stroke of fate. At the same time, they thanked the doctors and nurses for their commitment.
“Our little boy, you are our angel now, we will always love you,” it continues. And: “Only the birth of our daughter gives us the strength to experience this moment with some hope and joy.”
For Ronaldo and Rodríguez it is the second offspring together, in 2017 their daughter Alana saw the light of day. The soccer star has four children in total – a son who was born in 2010 and twins who were born seven years later.
