The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) awarded Radyospor, a popular radio station with the “Radio station with the Best services to football and amateur players ” award. The award was given to Radyospor because of the investigation they carried out over a football pitch which was granted a construction right even though there were alleged legal obligations to do so.

The award came as a surprise to the radio station and presenters as they were being sued by the mayor of the Besiktas borough Ismail Unal over fake allegations on the same issue.

Barış Ertül and ex- football manager Hurser Tekinoktay had investigated alleged illegal activity

The Radyospor radio stations `Futbol Cafe` program hosted by Barış Ertül and ex-football manager Hurser Tekinoktay had investigated alleged illegal activity surrounding the football pitch located in the Ortakoy area which is in the Besiktas Borough.

Radyospor’s Futbol Cafe program which is aired at 09.00 on Friday’s had spoken to The Besiktas Borough Construction Rights President,  Bulent Tatar and made him admit that the majority of the area reserved for the football pitch would be used for other constructions not linked with sports.

The activity surrounding the Football Pitch area in Ortakoy has stirred up such a problem because it was promised by the land owners that a 90 meter by 45 meter Football pitch will be erected in the area along side any building plans. However after the constructions were completed there were no football pitch in the area.

However when Ismail Unal found out that Serdar Bilgili the previous Besiktas Chairman

Radyospor’s Futbol Cafe program had constantly called for the Besiktas borough Mayor Ismail Unal to give an explanation to the issue which he finally agreed to, live on another radio station. However when Ismail Unal found out that Serdar Bilgili the previous Besiktas Chairman who Unal worked with while at Besiktas, was involved in the constrictions, decided not to go on the radio station.

The two previous mayors of the Besiktas Borough, Ayfer Atay and Yusuf Namoğlu,  who spoke on  the Futbol Cafe program were very surprised that both Barış Ertül and ex-football manager Hurser Tekinoktay were being sued by Ismail Unal under the Fake allegations law.

Both Ayfer Atay and Yusuf Namoğlu re-iterated live on the radio station that the area which construction was allowed on was done so in improper ways. The issue had also gone past the Architects board who had raised problems with the construction and the improper behaviour surrounding the construction permission granted by Ismail Unal.

Both Ayfer Atay and Yusuf Namoğlu volunteered to be witnesses for Barış Ertül and Hurser Tekinoktay.

The ceremony at the Kagithane borough wedding hall for the  annually held “Amateur Sports Services Awards” was attended by leading sports managers and players from all categories along side governors and businessmen. Both Baris Ertul and Hurser Tekinoktay were given there awards by the Kagithane District Governor.
