Controversial regulation update in turkish football

Turkish Football Federation Regulation
Turkish Football Federation new regulation might be unfair

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) gathered for an ordinary meeting of the board, to elect its new president and make some notable changes in football regulations, which sparked debates in the football-crazed country.

Outgoing President Mahmut Özgener had already announced that he will not be standing for re-election. And so other candidates withdrawing from the race, Acıbadem Healthcare Group CEO Mehmet Ali Aydınlar is left as the sole candidate in today’s election.

A new president at the seat, TFF will implement a new regulation for turkish football, which brings many disadvantages over some apparent advantageous changes  for clubs, managers and footballers due to its unbalanced stature.

Turkish Football Regulation Crisis

Due to absence of courts for sports in Turkey, clubs suffer losses in the ongoing trials, players can resign from their contracts and sign with an other club. A player suffers long trial periods at a state court, wheras a court for sports can shorten that period of time dramatically. A player awaits a trial to end, the average duration of a lawsuit in Tukey is 3 years. At the point when a lawsuit ends, a player gets older, and thus he can be at the end of his career.

Foreign players tend to appeal to the turkish dispute resolution committee, rather than to FIFA, after recognizing the gap in the regulations, the verdicts often are contra football clubs in Turkey , resulting in extreme losses for them.
