Devin Willock dies in car crash
He was a football hope for the Georgia Bulldogs. But now Devin Willock died in a car accident at the age of 20.
Devin Willock was considered a football hope in the USA. Now the sports world mourns the 20-year-old offensive lineman. He was killed in a car crash in Athens, Georgia, around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning. The University of Georgia football team confirmed that.
Team member Chandler LeCroy also died in the accident. Georgia Bulldogs head football coach Kirby Smart tweeted, “The entire Bulldogs family is devastated by this tragic loss. Devin was a great young man in every way and always had a smile on his face. He was a outstanding teammate and a pleasure to coach.”
Smart’s statement also states that the football family would like to support all relatives involved as best they can. According to a police statement, Willock died immediately. The driver LeCroy is said to have been taken to the hospital and died there from her injuries.
Two other people who were also in the car are said to have survived injured. They are a 26-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man. Both should also belong to the team. The accident happened after a celebration and parade by the Bulldogs, according to ESPN.
