Istanbul hosts Uefa Congress in 2012 and the schedule of 36th UEFA Congress in Istanbul has been announced.

Istanbul / NationalTurk – According to the Turkish Football Federation, meetings of the UEFA Executive Board will take place at the Conrad Hotel on March 20 and 21 before the congress. The schedule of the 36th UEFA Congress to take place was announced Friday.

Istanbul Congress Center will host guest from Europe

The UEFA Congress will take place at the Istanbul Congress Center with participation of the federation presidents and executives from 53 countries. The 36th UEFA Congress will begin at 09.30 hours on March 22. President of UEFA Michel Platini will hold a press conference at 14.30 hours on March 22.

According to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), meetings of the UEFA Executive Board will take place at the Conrad Hotel on March 20 and 21 before the congress. But it is not clear at the moment who the Turkish Football Federation will be represented by, since TFF is in deep crisis and the elections for TFF presidency will take place next week.

UEFA Executive Board meetings will take place on March 20 between 14.00-18.00 hours and on March 21 between 09.00-12.00 hours. UEFA Secretary General Gianni Infantino will hold a press conference at the Conrad Hotel at 12.30 hours on March 21.

The main agenda items for the 36th UEFA Congress :

• Reports of the UEFA President and the Executive Committee and Report of the UEFA Administration 2010/11
• Reports on the committees’ activities
• Financial matters including the annual UEFA consolidated statement of accounts 2010/11 and approval of the budget for the 2012/13 financial year
• European Social Dialogue: Approval of agreement on minimum player contract requirements

Istanbul will host a UEFA Congress for the first time after 34 years.
