Lady Gaga is in Twitter feud with Trump’s campaign team

In the final spurt of the US presidential campaign, US pop star Lady Gaga and incumbent Donald Trump's campaign team had a feud on the online service Twitter.

On Monday, Lay Gaga responded to allegations by Trump’s campaign team that she was an “anti-fracking activist” by calling for the vote for opposition candidate Joe Biden of the Democratic Party. “Vote Biden” and “What is fracking?” Read Lady Gaga’s Twitter account.

The communications director of Trump’s campaign team, Tim Murtough, had previously complained about a joint appearance by Biden and Lady Gaga in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, scheduled for Monday evening. “Nothing shows Joe Biden’s disdain for the working men and women of Pennsylvania like a campaign appearance with anti-fracking activist Lady Gaga,” Murtough tweeted.

The Trump employee described Biden’s appearance at Lady Gaga’s side as a “desperate attempt” by the Democrat to encourage approval of his “lackluster election campaign”. But he is a slap in the face for the “600,000 people in Pennsylvania who work in the fracking industry.” Murtough added that Biden had “repeatedly promised left activists” to ban fracking if elected.

In fact, Biden has criticized the controversial energy generation method and announced that he will not provide any new public open spaces for fracking. But even the Democrat does not want to completely abolish fracking.

Lady Gaga published Murtough’s tweet on her own channel – and provided him with animated messages such as “Vote Biden” and “LOL”, which means something like “To die for”.

Murtough then thanked the pop singer for sharing his review with her 82 million Twitter fans. He hopes “many people in Pennsylvania see this”. Lady Gaga’s fans were not deterred: “Get him, Queen” and “Put him down” was in the comments below the original tweet. One user wrote ironically: “Exactly, the first thing I think of when I think of Gaga is her attitude towards fracking.”
