No more PCR test for vaccinated Seychelles visitors

The Seychelles allow fully vaccinated visitors to enter the country without having to present a negative PCR test.

From March 15, 2022, visitors over the age of 18 who have received the first two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, including a booster dose six months after the completion of the first series of vaccinations, will be considered fully vaccinated. Only two doses of vaccine are required to fully immunize visitors aged 12 to 18. All fully vaccinated visitors are therefore exempt from the requirement for a PCR test prior to travel, while unvaccinated or partially vaccinated visitors can submit a negative PCR test within 72 hours or a rapid antigen test at a certified laboratory within 24 hours prior to departure for the Seychelles must submit. Prospective visitors who test positive for the COVID-19 virus between 2 and 12 weeks prior to travel are also exempt from pre-travel COVID-19 testing if they provide proof of infection and recovery.

Just one year after the destination reopened its borders to all visitors from around the world, regardless of their vaccination status, this fundamental step aims to make Seychelles a more accessible and competitive destination. As a safe travel experience remains essential, all visitors are required to purchase travel insurance in addition to their medical coverage and are encouraged to book their stay in certified accommodation. Also, all visitors are required to apply for a travel permit prior to travel.

The country has also recently eased other restrictions, including lifting the night curfew and closing times for entertainment venues such as bars and casinos, which came into effect on March 1, 2022.
