Passenger plane caught fire at Miami Airport after emergency landing
A plane carrying 126 passengers caught fire at Miami Airport after making an emergency landing due to a broken landing gear. All occupants survived.
The vehicle came to a stop next to a runway. The fire brigade was quickly on the spot to extinguish the fire and evacuate the occupants. Three passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
At Miami Airport, the USA, the passenger plane belonging to the Red Air company left the runway during landing, while the plane was engulfed in flames.
It was reported that the MD-82 aircraft, which took off from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, had a malfunction in the landing gear and made an emergency landing in Miami, its destination.
While the plane was leaving the runway during the emergency landing, the flames started to rise shortly after the landing. It was stated that there were 126 passengers and 11 crew on the plane.
