More cases are pending against Suu Kyi. Until now, she was allowed to prepare for this under house arrest. If convicted on all counts, the politician could face a total of more than 150 years in prison.
A source around Suu Kyi told AFP that she remains “in good spirits” and “cheerful” and that she faces the new situation with calmness. Suu Kyi is also in good health as far as the source knows.
