Shawn Mendes cancels his entire tour

Shawn Mendes would have given 80 concerts in the next twelve months.

But Shawn Mendes has now deleted it, as he announced in an emotional statement.

Almost 70 million people follow him on Instagram. Shawn Mendes had to deliver sad news to them. The musician from Canada will not be able to attend any of his concerts in the coming months.

“As you know I’ve had to reschedule the shows for the past few weeks as I wasn’t fully prepared for the expense of being back on the road,” the 23-year-old began his emotional statement on Social -Media platform.

“I have to make my health my top priority”

He was looking forward to playing again after a long break due to the pandemic. “But the reality is I wasn’t prepared at all for how difficult touring was going to be after that time.”

He continues: “We had hoped that after some much-needed time off I would be able to attend the remaining appointments, but at the moment I have to make my health my top priority.”

Shawn Mendes has now pulled the ripcord and canceled all concerts on his “Wonder” world tour in North America and Europe. The musician would also have performed in Germany in the coming year – in Munich, Mannheim, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg.

“It breaks my heart”

The musician also emphasized that this does not mean that he will not make any more music. “It breaks my heart to tell you guys this, but I promise I’ll be back once I’ve given myself the right amount of time to heal.” He ended his post with the words: “I love you all and thank you all for supporting me and sticking with me on this journey.”

Shawn Mendes is currently one of the most successful and popular singers in the world. The Canadian signed his first record deal at the age of 15 after uploading several cover songs to the video platform Vine. Shawn Mendes’ career is reminiscent of Justin Bieber’s. At the age of 16, the now 23-year-old already had his musical breakthrough.
