Spain’s princesses perform without parents

Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia attracted attention at an appointment.

The two sisters were traveling without their parents.

The daughters of the Spanish royal couple caused enthusiasm when they visited the Dalí Theater Museum in Figueres in Catalonia. 16-year-old Princess Leonor and her one-year-old sister Princess Sofia appeared without their parents Felipe and Letizia. The teenage duo looked very professional.

The sisters marveled at the exhibits at the Dalí Museum after a session in preparation for the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards ceremony, according to the palace. These will be awarded at a gala in Barcelona on Monday.

Sample dresses and espadrilles

Princess Leonor wore a red and white patterned dress with puff sleeves by the Spanish fashion chain Mango, which had a belt of the same color at the waist. She combined classic espadrilles with wedge heels. The heir to the throne wore her hair loose and only slightly pinned back at the top.

Infanta Sofía also wore wedge epadrilles, but in black instead of white. She also opted for a slightly shorter dress by Claudie Pierlot, with elaborate black stitching and embroidery. The ruffled skirt was slightly gathered from the thigh, the sleeves were long. The 15-year-old had braided her front hair into mini braids.

Leonor is Princess of Girona

It was Princess Leonor’s first visit to the province of Girona. Since the coronation of her father Felipe as King of Spain, she has also held the title of Princess of Girona.

On Monday, the heir to the throne will attend the awards ceremony in Barcelona with her parents and sister. The family had previously made an appointment as part of the gala.
