Trump says Iran should “wave the white flag”: “They want a deal with us”
US President Donald Trump said Iran wants to reach an agreement with Washington and argued that this would be the right step for Tehran. Claiming Iran has “no chance of winning,” Trump repeated that the United States would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.

US President Donald Trump continued his hardline remarks on Iran during an event at the White House. Trump claimed Tehran wants to make a deal with the United States and said Iran has no chance of winning the current conflict. He also argued that Iran’s military capabilities had been severely weakened and repeated that Washington would not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons.
“Iran has no chance of winning”
Speaking at the White House, Trump described the current situation as a small-scale conflict.
“I call this a conflict. Iran has no chance of winning. The Tehran administration knows that as well,” Trump said.
“They need to wave the white flag”
Trump claimed that the US had sunk 159 Iranian military vessels, hit dozens of other air and naval assets and targeted several military facilities.
Arguing that Iran’s combat capability was now extremely limited, Trump said: “You may not see a white flag, but that is actually what the Iranians need. They need to wave the white flag, the symbol of surrender. Iran wants to make a deal with us, and that will be the right step for Tehran.”
Hormuz and financial pressure
Trump also said Iran was unable to sell oil through the Strait of Hormuz and claimed the country’s financial system was close to collapse.
He argued that this pressure was pushing Tehran toward an agreement with Washington.
“They cannot have nuclear weapons”
Trump repeated that Iran would not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, saying such a development would endanger not only the Middle East but the entire world.
“If Iran had nuclear weapons, maybe we would not be here today. Not long ago, Iran was working to obtain nuclear weapons. Now it is working to survive,” Trump said.
