Turkey Match Fixing Scandal enters a new phase, as chief prosecutor Mehmet Berk is reported to have completed the investigation and indictment.

Istanbul / NationalTurk – Turkey Match Fixing Scandal is going to enter a new phase, as the months long investigation has been finalised by Mehmet Berk, the chief prosecutor of the probe. The announcement will be made tommorow at 13.00 Turkish local time.

The main accused will be former Giresunspor chairman Olgun Peker, accused as the primary person to form and lead a crime organization while Fenerbahce Chairman Aziz Yıldırım will be faced with charges of forming and leading of organized crime as the second culprit. Both suspects allegedly have formed seperate crime organizations on their own. Current Turkish Football Federation vice president Göksel Gümüsdag will remain  a suspect among other 128 suspects. 31 of the suspects have been arrested and imprisoned since July 2011. The indictment report is more than 400 pages long.
